Searchable Thread Catalog Complete!

We have finished adding all the threads to the new searchable Thread Catalog. We left the substition description for the ThreadworX floss intact so if you're looking for an old Needle Necessities floss color you can search for NN and the color number (e.g. NN 100) and if there is a sub you'll see what it is. You can use the search engine from the main Thread page or from the On-line Catalog Thread page.

We have also included the new Rainbow Gallery threads released this past weekend at our Trade Show in San Diego. Rainbow Gallery released new colors in Silk Lame as well as a new size for 13 mesh, new colors for Neon Ray+, Fyre Werks Soft Sheen, Treasure Braid Petite, Mandarin Floss and Panache. Click on each of the names to be taken to the page for those threads. It's the only place we tag them as new so it's the best place to check what is new at any given time.

New Searchable Thread Catalog Added

We know that many of you are not sure of who the vendor of a particular thread is so using the pages we build by thread vendor and type of thread are not always the best way to find something. We have now added a searchable thread database for the threads we carry. So if you're looking for Garnet and not sure who makes it, you can look for that color and see what we have. We are just beginning to populate the database so it will be a few days before it is complete, but you can take it for a spin now. We'll post again when it is complete.

Changes to our online fabric catalog

We added a feature to our online fabric catalog - the measurements of the cuts of each fabric in the catalog. So now when you purchase a Stitcher's Third of Belfast Cream the description of that cut will include a notation that it's 24x27 along with the price. We hope this will help you in determining how large a piece you need. If you're not sure though, there is a text field under the fabric cut selection that will allow you to enter your piece's stitch count so we can figure it out for you.

Given the different fabric widths we carry there is always the chance that the online catalog is wrong (the data entry for the widths is up to humans in the first place :-)). If you find or suspect an error, please let us know so we can correct it.

Changes to our online fabric catalog!

We've added a place for you to note your project's stitch count when ordering from our online fabric catalog. We recognize that many times you're unsure what cut to order so this will make it easier for you to give us the information that can help us determine the right cut for you. You can also note if the piece is framed or for something else so we know how much to allow around the design area. It's out hope that this change will make it easier for us to get you the cut size that best meets your project needs.

EGA Mystery Sampler Fabric

For those working on the Mystery Sampler featured in the EGA magazine, we have a linenband that will work for the piece. While the design calls for a 29 count linenband, we have a 28 count white banding that's 80cm (3.2 inches) wide and has 84 threads with a plain woven edge. The design specifies it has to be at least 60 threads wide so this give you a nice comfortable blank space at the sides. You can purchase this through the online catalog.

Projects added to online catalog

We're starting to add entire projects to our online catalog so you can order a new design with more convience. The project pages include the chart, fabric and threads. If you already have some of the components you can easily remove them from your selection vs. having to search down all the items in the catalog. We hope you'll enjoy shopping this way. Crescent Colors added to Online catalog

We've added Crescent Colors to our extensive online thread catalog. We have been carrying them for a while to see how they were received and as more designs call for them, will be ordering them regularly from now on.

New Soie Cristale & Impressions Colors Added to On Line Catalog

Caron Collection introduced 23 new colors of Soie Cristale and Impressions at the beginning of August, which we received as part of our automatic with them (we get all the new colors when they are released). The new colors of Soie Cristale and Impressions have been added to the on line catalog.

On Line Catalog Partneship with Hoffman Distributing

We are introducing a new way to purchase charts on line through our partnership with Hoffman Distributing; the largest cross-stitch distributor in the US. Their entire catalog is available for you to purchase from through our new Hoffman Merchant Mall. This allows you to not only search their wonderful catalog but to purchase from it and we'll fill the order. If we don't have the item in stock it'll get added to our next order with them - what could be easier. We hope you'll enjoying the experience.
