Core Thread Area Gets a New Home
After several comments on how the Needlepoint Room felt more like a thread forest, we rearranged the layout of it entirely. All of the DMC, Anchor and Kreinik cabinets have been moved into there and all the needlepoint moved back into the main space. Since the cabinets are not as tall it makes the room feel more open and you can easily find all the basic threads in one place.
The teak map file that many of the larger canvases reside in, will get moved into the main space over the weekend to complete the move of needlepoint into the main space. We will eventually hang more canvases above the threads on the walls, but as the walls on the east side of the building are masonry, it requires a bit more work to put up the hangers. A task for another day...
