Our trade association (TNNA) will once again have a booth at Maker Faire the weekend of May 17th & 18th. We are looking for volunteers especially to teach attendees cross-stitch and needlepoint but others techniques have openings as well. You'll get to attend the show that day for free and if you've not been before it's a blast. Think craft fair meets geek fair and that's about right. Teaching isn't a formal thing, but more helping those who stop by the Needlearts Zone booth to find out how much fun stitching is by getting them started on a project. We have Mr. Mikey (the Maker Faire robot) canvases donated by In Good Company as well as Alice Peterson and cross-stitch kits from DMC as well as Mr. Makey we've graphed for counted work.
If you can attend and help us teach, please use the Jooners sign-up page to pick a slot and give you contact details. You'll definitely enjoy it!
Can't attend but want to help out? We need volunteers to help create kits for the robots. The storage location is in Half Moon Bay so if you want to help in that way, contact Cathe at the shop and we'll put you in touch with the coordinator for TNNA (who is in HMB).
