We have a lot of reports in the past few weeks of messages from us not getting to people's Gmail inbox but getting marked as Spam and ending up in the Spam folder (we've had that happen with a couple of vendors as well as a lot of customer). Also, with the new Tabs feature for your Gmail inbox may put them in one of the tabs other than Primary. So you should check those tabs if you have converted your inbox to use them. If you move a message to a particular tab Gmail seems to learn that's where you want it to go.
We assume Google has tightened their Spam filtering and it's catching a lot of things that are not Spam from legitimate sources. We recommend you check your Spam folder once a week and mark which messages are not Spam. Hopefully Gmail will learn.
For our newsletters we post those to the website within a few days of them being sent out. If you have placed an order with us either online or via e-mail and are not hearing back from us, do check your Spam folder, regardless of who your e-mail provider is. In the past week alone we've had more than a dozen people find our messages regarding their order, in their Spam folder. Best to check it on a regular basis.
To be released on July 26th is the 10 year DVD for Sampler & Antique Needlework Quarterly, featuring all 40 issues from those years (issues 22 through 61). The DVD will contain PDF files which you can view or print, just as you can with their Just Cross-Stitch 10 year DVD released in June.
We have pre-ordered the DVDs and if you would like to sign-up for one, give us a call or place your order through our online Magazine page.
In our UPS shipment today were copies of the 2013 Just Cross Stitch Halloween issue. If you preordered your copy it's either in the queue to get mailed or in the HOLD drawer for you. If you have not ordered your copy yet, you can do so by calling us or visiting our Magazines page.
In last Friday's newsletter I posted a photo of a needlework piece with fireworks in it (seemed like a good way to celebrate the 4th of July). The piece is a hand-painted needlepoint canvas by Needlepoint Broad (now owned by Amanda Lawford Designs). We have it stitched up in the shop and a stitch guide is available for it along with the threads we used. The canvas is on 13 mesh and is 7 1/2" x 6 3/4".
Our kit includes Frosty Rays Petite, Fyre Werks, Neon Rays+, Crystal Braid and Vineyard Silk for the background. You can purchase either the canvas & stitch guide or the full kit with canvas, stitch guide and threads (a great way to celebrate the 4th of July!
Updated 7/2/16 - You'll find a way to order the canvas, stitch guide and thread kit in our online catalog.
