Jeannette has finished stitching the model for our Halloween weekend class for Common Thread. Here's a photo to whet your appetite. The model is in transit to us and should be at the shop sometime this next week. If you've been holding off signing up for the class, now is the time to do so. We need to get the fabric ordered this week so we have enough for everyone and so we can get it posted to you before the class so you can put on rods, bars or whatever your stitching preference is.
We will be holding the class at a local restaurant about a mile from the shop. Pasta Pelican is along the Alameda side of the Oakland Estuary and their upstairs lounge has a wonderful wall of windows facing north east so we'll get good light. You can bring your own portable light if you need to, we'll have outlets for such things. They do have a lift to the second floor so if climbing stairs isn't something you're up to, we've got that covered. The restaurant will be doing a light morning and afternoon snack for us as well as lunch. The shop will be open late Friday, Saturday and Sunday so you can shop after class. Jeannette will be here Friday and we're planning on a meet 'n greet with her on Friday evening.
