For those of you interested in helping out at Maker Faire in San Mateo next month, the volunteer coordinator for those helping out in the TNNA booth, has created a sign-up page through www.jooners.com for us. You can sign up for specific time slots for each technique (knitting, crochet, needlepoint and cross-stitch/embroidery). Just follow the link to Jooners and you can sign up there.
Once again Mary Frances has a lovely lace knitted piece featured on the cover of Piecework. The new May 2010 Issue is the 3rd Annual Lace issue that Piecework has presented.
This issue also features projects by SF Bay Area needleworkers Mary Polityka Bush and Rene Wells.
In case you didn't know this, many of the SF Bay Area lace knitters meet at the shop once a month on the 3rd Sunday, from 1-3pm. Feel free to come and join them for a visit even if you're not a lace knitter but admire their lovely work.
Our copies of the May/June 2010 issue are in transit from the publisher and you can order them through our online catalog.

Take a look at Norden's listing for their charts and if you want any of them, let us know by early June so we have time to get them ordered in case Norden has to order more as well. We do anticipate that we'll keep some inventory of the more popular Carriage House Samplings and Bright Needle charts after they close, but if you know you want something - order it soon!
