My Big Toe Designs Trunkshow - Nov/Dec

We've have just scheduled a great trunkshow for end of the year - My Big Toe Designs. Debbie will be sending us several of her larger models (Namesake and the Lord's Prayer) and we get an extended time to bond with them :-).  Expected dates for the trunkshow are November 10th - December 29th. We hope you'll get a chance to visit the shop during the trunkshow. You can order most of her charts through our online catalog and we'll have plenty during the trunkshow.

Just Nan August Releases & Lady Scarlet

The August Just Nan releases will arrive on Friday the 24th. There are 3 great Christmas designs and 2 very cute Halloween designs. In July we also received the final shipment of Lady Scarlet's Secret Garden and we have about a dozen left of them. We took the last of Nan's final release of this adorable limited edition design. And we have added Bellemeade to the online catalog as well, which we received in July.

Wichelt Imports Suffers from rain related flood

One of our main distributors, Wichelt Imports, has suffered a serious flood in the warehouse. They are in a part of Wisconsin that received way too much rain in a short period of time and the warehouse flooded as a result. We suspect they won't know the extent of the damage for several more days but it's not going to be pretty. Fortunately no one was hurt.

Wichelt is the sole source for Mill Hill beads and treasures and Wichelt fabric. So our ability to get those items we don't have in stock will be affected by this. A guess at this point is that it will be 2-4 weeks before they will be able to do any kind of shipments since likely they'll have to move parts of the warehouse to temporary quarters. We'll post more details when we have them. Just know that for certain items the lead time is going to be significantly longer than it normally would be.

Fibers To Dye For - Thread Pack available for Marken Sampler

We are now carrying Amy Mitten's Fiber's To Dye For and have ordered a thread pack of the Black Cat & Weapon used in Margreet Beemsterboer's Sampler of Motifs from Marken. You'll find the skeins and the thread pack listed in our online catalog.

Beau Geste Classes September 21st - 26th

We have finalized all the classes for Deborah Wilson's visit to the shop in September and the information has been posted to the web site. In addition to the Jacobean Fruits and Flowers and Gilded Butterfly classes, Deborah will be teaching two evening classes - Warm & Toasty Snowman and Graphic Heart.

Holiday Fireplace Mantelpiece Fibers & Embellishments

We know many of you have seen the newest issue of Cross Stitch & Needlework (September 2007) and are looking for all the supplies for the Holiday Fireplace Mantelpiece project. To make it easier to find them we have put all the supplies needed on one project page in our online catalog. We have also purchased the 4mm Swarovski crystals it uses and created a package with enough of each color for you which is listed on this page as well.

We are having trouble getting the Needle Necessities British Green the piece uses - we have ordered it multiple times this year and we have not received any. We suggest Belle Soie Collard Green as a substitute. It's a more yellow green but has nice variation. It's in the Cross-Stitch & Needlework Holiday Fireplace Mantlepiece project page as a substitute.

When Cece releases new colors we get them sent automatically and we always look forward to them with anticipation. The newly released are: 5 new Silk 'n Colors, 2 new Silken Ribbons and 3 new Silk Chenilles. They have all been added to our online thread catalog, although photos are not yet there.
